Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department holds cheap bazaar for two days, May 23-24, 2019, from 8 AM to 2 PM. It is held at KPKP Department office's yard, Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Gunung Sahari Utara Urban Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

There are 30 vendors from Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD)s in food sector, coached traders under KPKP Sub-department in five regions, importers, and food distributors who are participating in this cheap bazaar.
Jakarta KPKP Department Head, Darjamuni said, usually there is a high demand in food ahead of Eid. Thus he hopes this bazaar can help residents who live near KPKP Department office to get good quality foods in affordable price.

According to him, this bazaar is not only helping residents to get food in affordable prices but also helps to facilitate coached traders to promote their products.
"There are 2-4 coached trader groups per region in this bazaar. Hopefully, this can help them to expand their product marketing," he mentioned.
Jakarta KPKP Department's Food Security Division Head, Mujiati informed, this cheap market sells various food commodities such as rice, shallots, garlic, egg, meat, fish, vegetable, and others.
"This is our second cheap market. Previously, cheap market was held at the same location on May 2-3, 2019 with total transaction value reached Rp 114 million," she conveyed.
